Puss filled lump

My boxer (about 2 1/2 now) has developed a puss filled lump just in front of his hind leg. It is large one day and barely visable the next. I'm going to take him into the vet, however I was wondering if anyone else has seen this and can give me some insight as to what it might be and / or any treatments of such a thing.

Check your puppies face. I noticed Jixxer had one on his eye, then his lip, then his hind leg. I guess boxers are prone to getting skin tags and benign tumors. I took Jix to the vet to make me feel better and they said it should clear up in about 3 months. Good luck

Drake had a couple of small ones on his face and lips and the vet called it canine acne. She said if they continued, she would show me how to get rid of them. We haven't had any since he was one!

My 8month old boy Diesel has a lump under his lip/chin. I thought this could be due to him chewing bones/toys etc. Hes had it for a few weeks and a friend had mentioned acne but Im not so sure. Im going to take him to the vet to put my mind at rest, but just thought id see if anyone elses boxer had this first, and it seems they do! Do you think it could be serious? One day it looks big the other its barely there???? Confused!!

The bumps on their faces are typically just canine acne, but I've never heard of acne on their limbs. I am no expert, though.

The fact that it's pussy is acutally a good sign that it's not a MCT, but I think I'd at least call the vet.

When Cassius was younger he had a lot of little lumps on his chin and around his mouth, turned out to be nothing more then of canine acne. I found out after spending $100 on "special creme" that anything people use would have worked just as well.
This mysterious lump is strange. One day it's as big as a golf ball, the next day it's the size of a pea with no rhyme or reason as to why it inflates and deflates like it does. It's pretty wierd!!

Our boy Sawyer developed some after he started his chemo. At first we thought it was an infection but it wound up being acne in reaction to his being on steriods. He had them on his legs, hips, belly, neck. He lost his hair in those spots after the "pimples" popped usually due to Luna constantly cleaning him (the fastest tongue in the northeast). The hair has since grown back.
