Well I just got through my first night with my new 7 week old boy, and as many of you know what thats like. If my typing is a little off its probably dew to the sleep depravation. I have a 3 year old fawn female who was crate trained but has outgrown that stage 2 years ago. Would it be a good idea to put them both in the same crate? Any other suggestion would also be appreciated. He is in the bedroom now in a big crate which I have blocked off part of.

Hello! Well my boyfriend and i just added a new addition to our household and we now have a 8 week young white female named Bianca. Along with that we also have a 9 month young brindle female named Dasia.

We purchased a HUGE crate (the wire kind) for Dasia a while back and she is only in there when we go to work. However we where curious to see if both of them would be ok inside (we would not have tried this if they did NOT get along) but Dasia loves her and we would put them in (supervised) when it was nap time..they just cuddled up together. We gradually left them in there alittle longer and we went to the store for about 3 hours and they did wonderfully. They just cuddle up and sleep. :D

I don't see why it would not be ok to put them in the same crate as long as the crate is big enough for both of them to fit comfortable. and if they get along and they dont' mind it :) We do have seperate ones for night time. Dasia sleeps on the floor next to her crate and later in the middle of the night sleeps on our bed.

Well I tried it and they did great!! They both cuddled up and went to sleep. I had to take Apollo out once during the night but that was it. They both get along great and actually enjoy bedtime now.

I am very happy that everything worked out well! I was scared at first that is why we supervised and still we leave them in there only alittle bit at a time... :) But they do love eachother! So glad everything went well tons of hugs and kisses to your "kids"!!
