Puppy Sick

I changed dog food from iams to blue large breed puppy and my puppy got sick and vomited. Do you think it was because of the sudden change or somethings...else, I am obviously going to talk to the vet. tomorrow but wanted to see if anybody had any ideas.

I don't know this dog food, but did you do a gradual changover?

You should never just do a straight swap of foods, that is guaranteed to upset their tummies. Always do a food changeover gradually over at least a week or so.

Hi,
Boxers are not considered large breed dogs. When Bella was a puppy I found that out. We have our dogs on Canadae. It is one of the higher quality foods. Check out the forum on feeding. You can get a lot of info on foods and how to introduce them to your puppy. Good luck.

The sudden switch might have caused this. It's usually best to introduce the new food gradually while you are phasing out the old food.
BUT as always - your vet is the best bet for a sound answer.
