I know your feeling our 10 month old boxer zoe has demodex for the second time too and its a pain in the but to cure. I talk to vet and she told me they are little mites that all dogs have but they break out when the dog has a very low immune system or its stress out a lot. My dog almost died when she was born soo she has a low immune system. The actions i took was that i bathe her everyday with a special shampoo she also gave me some pills and a liquid and also a vitamin for her coat so she can grow hair back. She has the mange on her side of the face so we clean with a warm towl everyday then put some powder so it wont itch all is going well. I also changed her food with some nutro because it has three different type of oils for her coat and its doing pretty good. The second type she broke out is because she went into heat so im goin to spay her when she is done with mange. I hope your boxer is doing good.

I hope all is going well....
I use the MALASEB pledgettes to wipe the feet, then the MALASEB Spray to spray on the feet and the body, and the MALASEB shampoo with a cool bath twice a week. This stuff is wonderful for yeast, bacteria and mange prone dogs.
When I adopted my boy he had mange for so long that he is scared and has bald spots so I got some NU STOCK that I started treating him with and this stuff is AMAZING!!!
I know the iver is a pain in the bum, I bought liverwurst and mixed it with the iver and rolled it into a treat ball and gave to him, because the liverwurst has such a strong smell he could not smell or taste the iver so you may want to use this as it is much easier to get down.
I would also switch out her food now thus not leading to more stress at a later date. I would try Wellness Core, GO, Merrick etc to help keep her immune boosted.
Also keeping your baby outdoors as an outside dog is very hard on her, she spends all of her energy trying to keep warm or cool and this is very hard on their poor lil system, because of the boxers short hair/coat they can not regulate their temps very well and as long as you keep her outdoors her mange will never go away guaranteed because of the stress of being outside and thus causing a low immune...vicious cycle and so you will now have to find a better place to put her where she will not have to fight the outdoor elements.

Good Luck

Hi, I am new on the board but looking at your thread, my dog Toby has the same, we get hibiscrub (a antibacterial wash) from the vets (wet a some cotton wool and add some of this liquid and rub inbetween his bads then rinse off - once a day) and hydrocortisone cream (apply thinly twice a day)- he is on tablets this time too, but his feet are all cleared up. Like you though it does seem to come back but he is enjoying having no sores at the moment! Maybe this helps

Dogbooties.com!!! Best shoes for dogs...

Hi...sorry to hear about your puppy. I've never experienced what you are, but my female lately has been getting yeast infections on her feet. I bought her some 'shoes' on dogbooties.com and they have been great! They are only $2.50 each. I bought the "1000 Denier Cordura® Booties" since they are the most durable. They don't have any rubber on the bottoms so they are a little slick indoors on tile or wood floors, but they are wonderful outside. If you do order them, switch the shipping method to 'standard mail' as it's the cheapest and I still got mine in 2 or 3 days.

Good luck:)
