My little guy is 5 months old and gets along great with everything and everyone. He is very social. My issue is that when someone new comes into the house/yard and reaches down to pet him he starts peeing. This is an issue in the house because of the soiling of carpet, etc. It isnt an excited pee but more of a scared one. The person can talk "happy" talk and he still does it. PLEASE HELP!!!

This sounds like what is referred to as *submissive urination* -- usually happens when excited --like when visitors or owners -- enter the home or yard.

Usually, the pup/dog will outgrow this, but in the meantime, when you or anyone comes into the house/yard -- ignore the pup. Totally/completely ignore the pup, i.e., NO talking, touching, or even eye contact/look at the pup......until he has calmed down and goes on his way. Then, and only then, should the visitor CALMLY address the dog...in a normal, low tone. Btw, this has nothing to do with being social/friendly, or scared, etc. -- it's merely excitement.

Absolutely NO high-pitched, exciting *happy talk* as this only creates excitement, hence the urination. Must be diligent about this. But, this is something that can usually be solved.
good luck :)
