Puppy Integration with Older Dog. Please Help.

I recently brought home a new boxer pup, and I am trying to integrate him in with a 3 year old yorkie. The exuberant puppy seems to only know how to play by running at him and barking or biting at his hair. The Yorkie is scared as this is his first puppy, and doesnt know how to play back. He is barking at the puppy in a defensive nature, and at times lunges for him. We have yet to have a bite, but we want to avoid it if possible.

What should we do about a playful puppy and non-playful or non-interested 3 year old. How do we integrate the two of them. Please, any help?

Thanks Tulsa-Dan for the suggestion, but I tried that before I posted. I have found some information, but not what I am asking for. If you have any knowledge of terms to search for, please let me know.
I can't seem to find anything about the older dog being scared of the puppy. Our Yorkshire terrier is already smaller than a 9 week old puppy, and he has no desire to play with the pup. He runs from him and hides behind us. At times the puppy corners him and the Yorkie will bark/snap at him to just keep him away. He doesnt know how to handle this exuberant puppy it seems.

If he is shaking with fear, cowaring, and not playing, should we separate the 2 dogs?
What can we do to get them to play? What to lower the older Yorkie's anxiety/fear?
I have heard that boxers hold grudges and don't forgive/forget. Should we be concerned this may happen? I don't want the pup to get bitten and then never like the Yorkie.
They both like to play with other dogs. When on neutral ground with other dogs(larger than both), the Yorkie does not play with the pup and will run from him if he tries to play.
