This is my second night with my new 8 week puppy and we just realized that, at night, when we take him out to relieve himself, he starts trembling because it's cold, so he only cuddles on our feet and doesn't do anything. After half an hour of innactivity, we take him inside, and that's when he decides to go potty.
Mind you, we're in California and it's not really that cold, maybe around the low 60's. Still, we're afraid that he might get sick and that's when we let him go indoors again, but he has done the same trick twice tonight.
Any advice for tomorrow night? If we let him go on a newspaper inside, will he think it's OK to go potty inside? He'll be leashed train in two weeks (hopefully) and then we'll take him for a short walk every night, but so far, the backyard patio is the only choice.
