Puppy does not like snow.

Bella our 18 wk old was doing good and almost trained to go outside. It started snowing and when there was just a little on the ground she was fine. Today I woke up and the snow doubled in height. I saw her sniffing so I put her out and she nearly got lost in it I waited a few minutes she kind of sniffed around in it. It was pretty funny watching just her head show in the snow and she had a little white beard from the snow when she was begging to come in. I have a sweater I put on her but she still does not want to be out for just a few minutes. Not even 5 minutes after I let her in she was going in the house. I am looking for any suggestions on things I could do to houstrain her in the winter.

I think you need to go out with her and show her what fun snow can be. :(

I did take her out in the snow today after I posted and she was pulling back on her collar to stay in the house. After I picked her up and let her walk around she still didn't seem to happy about being in it. So I will take your advice and try to teach her it can be more fun then she thinks. Or I may just shovel a area and hope she will go there when she has to go out.

I think you need to do both

Shovel an area for her, because the snow may be too high for him, and also show her how fun the snow is actually.

Jade wasn't really that impressed with snow when she was little either so I shoveled an area for her and that was the only place she would go. My neighbors probably think I'm wierd cuz the last two winters after it snows I'm always out back shoveling my yard, but it works and it's good excercise for me.
