He is 3 months old and does not respon to his name, which we call him by all the time. What is wrong with him?

Are you sure that he hears?

If you are sure that he hears okay, then may be you use his name too much and he has learned to tune it out. You should try and use their name in a positive way. You don't want to be saying no to them. When he is doing the wrong thing you want to redirect his behavior. If he is chewing the wrong thing, you give him something appropriate to chew. Reward good behavior and ignore the bad. Use his name only in positive ways. Never call him to you if you are going to do something he doesn't like. I wouldn't come next time either. Go and get him instead.

I agree with Jan, try positive reinforcement with "name training". Take 5 minutes a couple times a day, get some small treats or some toys that he enjoys, then call his name. When he looks at you in response, reward him(verbally and with the fun stuff), and slowly back off rewarding with toys and treats and use verbl praise. Just one method I'm sure there are others out there. I am assuming he hears fine is that correct?

Everyone has such good suggestions. I read the post that you had a link to Tulsa-Dan and it just made sense to me. My own experience with my pup was that he clearly knew his name, he just comes when he feel it'll be worth his while to come or respond. He always acknowledges that he know's he's being spoken to...either with eye contact or head tilt, or ears alerting, but doesn't always come see what I'm calling him for unless he hears the rattle of his treat container or food container. I'm going to go home tonight and practice that because coming when called is a very important thing. Thanks.
