Hello,

It's me again with another question. Do puppies have vision problems when they are small? Asking because if i throw a toy across the room its like my puppies can not see where it goes, but if i throw it only 3 feet or so the follow it fine... is this normal for a puppy of 7 weeks?

P.S. Sorry for so many what seen to be stupid questions but i just want my babies to be healthy and happy

Yes it is normal

But it's more than just a vision "problem" it's also a perception problem. Puppies will jump from things far too high for them to be jumping off for example because they do not perceive the height. Same for distance.

It's also the fact that a puppy doesn't necessarily know it is supposed to chase a toy across the room.

Your puppy is normal, just needs to grow up :)

How long does this vision problem last? My puppy Raven is about 1 and 1/2 years now and she is still very clumsy and bumps into things somewhat often! (I'm sure that being super hyper dosen't help her either - she's a ball of energy!)
