We're up in Squamish, probably one of the most 'puddley' communities!!! We are in Burnaby often for work!! I took her down to the river a few weekends ago too, and she wasn't so sure of the water. But the dead Salmon were a hot item. I wrote another post about that!!!

It has been very rainy lately. Probably even more so in Squamish. :) There have been a lot of dead salmon on the Allouette River where we often take Tara. Fortunately she doesn't have a inclination to roll in them. I would make sure that you teach Zoey the "Off" command. It can be very useful when they are about to roll on a dead salmon. Yuck!

Good luck with Zoey!

Thanks Jan. We are currently learning 'off', and it has been quite beneficial. She is just at the height right now when she jumps she hits a man in a very unfortunate spot! So 'off' is coming to our or rather the mens' rescue!

Kaboom doesn't like water...in any way shape or form....rain, puddles, pools, hose...nothing. If it is raining outside....he will stand at the open door and stare at me like I have 3 heads....like he is saying "Hey Momma, I am not crazy....it is pouring rain out there...I am NOT getting wet--I will hold it. Thanks!"
He is 5 years old and we have had him for almost 2 years now....that has not changed....it is funny though...their little "pet peeves and quirks"

sounds exactly like our chloe!!

except considering the fear of water she has she likes to drink from the hose but dont get her wet(try doing that one )

Elvis wil jump a puddle he will not walk through especially if it is a muddy puddle!

Over the park there is a gap in the fence we walk through which always tends to be muddy, Elvis will actually get right to the edge of the fence and try and keep on the verge so his paws dont get muddy!
