I wrote last week that something was up with Puckers, she wanted to go out all the time, acting real strange, waking us up every 2 hours at night while she slept all day, Well, I was working 14-16 hours a day for the first half of the week and on wed. I let her to go potty when I got up and she was peeing blood! I got her to the Vets. and they said she had a (1) bladder infection,or (2) Kidney infection, or (3)Tumors. the Vet said it was a 95 % chance of (1) and gave me antibiotics and I brought her home, I gave her a pill before I went to work. I got a call about 4 hours later to tell me Puckers was throwing up all over the house, a total of 6 times that night. The poor baby was so sick when I came home she was laying on the floor and the only thing that moved on her was her eyes! I finaly got her up and hand fed her 2 pieces of beef but that came back up and all she did was cry and whine so I spent the whole night on the couch with her. The next morning we where back at the Vet with another pill that is doing the job plus she bounced right back in about 24 hour. We where feeding her rice & scrambled eggs, now she is regular dog food, and she is sleeping the whole night and playing. I hate it when our babies are sick!

Hello everybody, this is my first posting here, I'm from Lisbon, Portugal and I own a 6 months old female, named Duda.
Now for the reason of the posting, firts of all hope Puckers is feeling well now. My Duda also was sick last week, she started last tuesday throwing up everything and her poop was like a green water. She even passed out, so I took her to the vet and she said that mine was the fifth dog that day with the same thing. The throwing up continued until the next day ( she lost almost 2Kg in 2 days !!! ) and the "green liquid poop" until friday. The vet said that probably was something in my neighborhood, but I have a friend that lives in another town and is 8 week old boxer had the same thing. She is better now and gained the lost weight.

Oh Rob that must have been a terrible ordeal. I know I would be in a total state of panic if that was one of my babies. I'm sooooo glad to hear Puckers is feeling better now though. Please keep us informed about her condition.

Wishing her a speedy recovery.

I'm so glad Puckers is doing better. It is so horrible to feel so helpless when your dog is sick. I just hate it when Maggie shows the slightest sign of not being "right." I get so incredibly worried about her.

I worry too about dogs transmitting illnesses to each other, especially with Maggie playing in the park with other dogs every day and sharing toys, etc. I'm always worried she's going to pick up something from some other dog.

Anyway, I'm glad Puckers is doing better. Please keep us posted.

Hi Rob----glad to hear that the second medication is working! Sammie had the same thing several weeks ago & it sure is scarey. The bladder infection was the second of three problems, & the poor baby had just about nothing but white rice, nonfat cottage cheese & scrambled eggs for 6 weeks! Thank God there are some bland foods out there for them when they're sick.

....you give Puckers a kiss from Sam & tell her she can't get sick again..once is enough:)

I'm so glad that puckers is on the mend. What a scare that must have been - I know I would have freaked out seeing one of my babies pee blood.
I was told that Keisha shouldn't have moxilean (antibiotic) as some dogs in her line have had allergies to it. I was just wondering what the antibiotic was that was prescribed to puckers initially that made her sick.
Anyway glad it wasn't anything too serious.
