Update at 3;30PM

Just got off the phone with the Doctor, She has the pancreitis is back all her bloodwork is up to levels as before and the Dr. thinks there is a blockage, and he is doing surgury right now, she is a little stronger after being on I.V.'s all day. It is extremely critical but the Dr. feels this needs to be done. She was still throwing up so an upper G.I. is out of the question but the X-Rays showed a big gas bubble that is usually a blockage. He will also visually see her pancreis (sp?) to see if theres scarring. I feel alittle better because I have been thinking how can I put her down?? Thank god for freecell! I have been playing that all day waiting by the phone., Thanks to everyone here for all there support!

5:00PM Updates

Just got off the Phone with the Vet, & my wife. Puckers came through the surgury, and the Dr. found hair balls, that what was causing the blockage, and maybe started all this pancreitis, When she was a pup she had a part of here intestine collapse over itself like a telescope and had an 8" section removed, and a piece of the hairball lodged itself on the scartissue and there was a larger chunk of hairball in her stomache, and it was all removed.
She is not quite out of the woods but it sounds like she will pull through and the Dr. took a look at her pancreous
and it was swollen but its not all scarred up! Hopefull she will be home soon! Thank you all again!

Hurray For Puckers!

I am so glad she is doing better and that they may have found the cause of all her troubles. I recently went thru a simaler situation with my kitten ( blocked intestine followed by emergancy laparotomy ) he recovered well and you would never know how sick he had been :D

Please keep us updated on the continuing recovery :)
