i was curious on what order of shots i should give my boxer. his last visit to the vet for shots was at 6 months and another visit for heartworm guard test(?) a few months later. he is now 1.5 years and was wondering if any shots should be due for him? i assume his was done for awhile since the vet never sent out any notifications... but just want to make sure im giving my dog the care he needs.

That really all depends on how you feel about vaccinations... since you posted in the "Holistic Care" forum I'll just assume that you are looking for the "minimalist's approach" 
which is what I prefer. Beyond the puppy vaccination series, my dogs don't get ANY more vaccinations except for Rabies, and ONLY because Rabies is required by law in the US. You'll have to check with your vet to see what the law is in your state, it could require that dogs have a yearly rabies shot, or every other year, or every three years -- the longer you can go between shots the better.
