Well, today Brutis had lots of blood work and an ultrasound. The ultrasound didn't show anything except thickening of the intestinal wall, so he will be having a front and rear endoscopy on Tuesday. The internist thinks four possibilities, IBD, Lymphangietasia, food allergy or cancer. He basically said something is causing severe intestinal disease and he would say he is in guarded condition. With a biopsy from the endoscopy, we should be able to figure it out and get a course of treatment.

This is my grandmother's baby and she is trying to recover from her transplant so please pray things are okay and this doesn't become a huge source of stress in her life, as stress could effect her very negatively.

I will update when we have the results from his endoscopy. Thanks for listening!

I know what you're going through...

Maggie was diagnosed with MCTs a few weeks ago and had an appointment to go into the vet on Saturday for a pre-op check-up. I got home Friday night and my living room was covered in diarrhea. I think it was brought on by stress, but she is also lactose intollerant. Do you feed your baby any milk products? Or maybe the stress of your grandmothers illness has taken it's toll?

Mags gets bloody, projectile diarrhea. The vet put her on Metronidazole when she starts and it usually clears up in a few days. Has your vet tried that??

I hope everything works out for Brutis and your grandmother. The illnesses must be causing stress both ways so I hope you get it figured out and everyone comes out OK. Sending wiggles and kisses!!

Butler and I are sending boxer and human vibes to Brutis. Hope the problem is something that is easily managed, but it is surely tough waiting for the diagnosis.

This bout of diahrrea has been going on for about 3 months now, it started before my grandmother went in for the transplant, so I don't think it is the stress. We haven't really been giving him anything but his dog food, which he really isn't eating that well either. He has been on multiple medications, including Metronidazole to no avail.

Thanks for the well wishes guys!
