I read your post and it just broke my heart. I don't understand why us dog lovers seem to go through such horrors with these health issues. I can only think that God knows we are the ones that will see our babies through these ordeals with as much love as possible. In someone else's hands, these dogs may not get the care or love they need. My family and our 2 boxers (Murdoch and Dempsey) plus our Boston Otis are sending out all the love and good wishes to your little one, praying that this all turns out ok. Please keep us updated.
At my worst times, I find such caring on this board! Usually forums are filled with people arguing over who knows the most about whatever, but on BW everyone just wants everyone else to have happy, long lives with their pups. It is the best place to go for Boxer advice because people on here know alot about Boxers. Take comfort in knowing that if there was a way to help your pup, we would all be there to help you do it.
In the meantime, give your Boxer all the love you can and appreciate every day. Even with a healthy boxer, you never know what day will be their last. Let us know what you find out.

NortonsMom - I feel the same way, very well put. and to Vicky, keep us posted, we are all worried about poor little Ellie, but I'm glad to hear that she's enjoying all the extra attention! Spoiled, sweet boxers are the best.

Firstly i just want to say a big thank you to all of you that have taken the time to put messages on and to tell you how amazed i am that such wonderful people are out there it is just breathtaking.... thank you for your kind words and thoughts, i only hope that i can return the love and best wishes that you have shown Ellie and i.
Ok... so some good news... Ellies lump result has come back with no signs of cancer, although it is infected so she is on antibiotics to clear that up.. they only took a few cells so the vet said although it is extremely promising they will have to look at the lump in a week or so. The vet said he is confident that the lump is a hystiocytoma
I didn't get the result of Ellie's kidneys until late this afternoon... they have showed that Ellie has a extremely bad kidney infection which has stopped them seeing if she has kidney disease... the vet said he is concerned that the two are linked although did explain that it could just a bad infection and once the antibiotics gets into her system it will start to clear up... I am praying that it is just an infection. We need to find out if Ellie has got kidney disease so the vet has booked Ellie in for a kidney scan on wednesday morning as they should be able to see if the kidney infection is covering the kidney disease.
I'll keep you posted... i just feel horrible and helpless, but i guess i should be thankful that they haven't found any cancer.. lets hope lady luck stays with Ellie.
