prayers for my godmother

Hello all,

I am asking for prayers for my godmother, Arden. She was perfectly healthy (or so we though) - in her mid 50's, active lifestyle - but yesterday she went into the doctor because she wasn't feeling well and was rushed to a hospital in Houston with a Brain Aneurysm - last night we were told it didn't look good at all and i haven't heard anything as of yet, this morning.

I'm just asking that you please keep her in your prayers; I'll update when I hear something.

My Mom just e-mailed me to tell me that Arden is in isolation at a hospital in Houston and the doctors are waiting to see if they can operate or what the next step could be...as of right now, it still isn't looking good, but she made it through the night which is a small sign of hope for me (although I'm not there and don't know everything about what is going on).

We haven't heard anything since this morning and we can't get ahold of her daughter or husband, so my parents are getting a little worried, but we're all still hoping for the best.

Thanks for keeping her in your thoughts and prayers, it means a lot to her friends and family (such as me)... ;)

My mom just called to tell me that Jim (my godfather, Arden's husband) called to tell her that Arden made it out of surgery and she is okay, the doctor's have done all they can do, so what happens now is up to the big guy upstairs...

the next 4 days will be the most critical and she will probably have to be in the hospital (ICU) for no shorter than two weeks...i am just totally relieved that they could do something instead of just sitting there letting her suffer and fade away right before her family's eyes!

i finally heard the 'real' story of what happenned - yesterday she was out to lunch with her daughter, Christy, and she said she had a horrible headache so she went to the bathroom and came back, sat down at the table and told Christy that her hearing just went out. so of course poor Christy freaked out and took her to the hospital and they did a CAT scan and found that she was having a brain aneurysm. the doctors said that it was a real blessing that Christy was with her because if she had been out at her home by herself, she would have been gone in a matter of hours, or if someone had found her, the damage would probably have been irreversible.

their family has been having problems lately so I feel extremely bad for them - their grandma died of cancer right after a house fire that destroyed everything of their grandparents posessions, their son (Christy's brother) committed suicide a few years back (it was horrible-he was home on leave from the army), Christy was married to her first husband for two months and he got the girl from downstairs (in their apartment complex) pregnant, and she's in the middle of a nasty divorce from her second husband ... it's so sad when all these bad things happen to good people!

well, please keep her in your prayers still, even though she is out of surgery and in stable condition, i'm thinking brain surgery isn't something that always goes as planned, only time will tell :rolleyes:
