Potty training

Hi, I am an avid believer in crate training dogs. I have crate trained two boxers over the years. We recently got a new baby boxer, and she goes crazy when I put her in it. She slobbers, crys, and screams like a woman. Really, that bad!! She also potty's in the crate. The crate is small for the time being to suit her size. I have not put her in it lately. Also when we have to leave, I put her in the bathroom, and she does the same thing. I can't let her have run of the house. Any suggestions would be appreciated. One thing I might add is, we recently built a new home, and we don't have any grass yet. Just planted seed a week ago. I think this plays a factor in potty training her. All she has to go in is, the drive way or the dirt. I feel so bad. We should have waited until we had grass before we got her. I never had this much trouble training a pup.

If you use the search button above you will find a lot of info there to check out. I think if you take the pup to where you want her to do her business , grass or not, she will get used to the spot.

Sounds like the possible beginnings of Separation Anxiety. (I am not an expert, so it may just be she needs to 'back up' in the crate training and try a different, slower approach.)
