Potty training problems

My 3month old does infact poo outside wenever i take him for a walk, the problem is he urinates in the house unexpectedly. Also he poops insinde once in a while as well. How long is potty training gong to take. Ive been consistent, taking him out after every meal for a walk. This works but he also goes in the house. Is there any tips you guys can give me. Wen i wake up i take him out of the crate and take him outside after his meal. He then in between his morning meal and afernoon meal eliminates in the house and elminates between his night and afternoon meal as well. He drinks alot of water and hasnt lost his appetite, but his stool has been a runy green colour for a week now. We just had him switched to nutro natural choice chicken rice oatmeal kibble with canned mix. Help please.

First I have to ask a few questions:
How old is your puppy?
Has he been seen by a vet for his soft stools?
How much water/food does he consume daily?

Puppies need to go out regularly and it takes a few months for them to consistently go potty outside only. Here are a few ideas:

Feed him only his food and measure it. Feed it at the same time every day.
Regulate his water. Measure how much you put down, that way you can keep track of how much he consumes.
Keep a potty log. This should include how much he eats/drinks and what time...as well as urination/bowel movements and the times of those, and the locations. Example: 7 AM 1 cup food, 1/2 cup water, 8:00 AM bowel movement outside, 8:15 AM urinated in living room. do this daily for 2 weeks and you should start to see a pattern emerge. All puppies are different in their needs.
Be sure that you are cleaning the area thoroughly after your pup potties in the house. The scent can be difficult to get rid of...and can tempt them to potty there again.
Train your pup that pottying outside is best. Save a special, savory treat only for potty time outside. Small bits of cheese or chicken given as soon as puppy potties outside can go a long way in convincing the puppy that outside is the best place to go! Remember lots of praise when he goes outside

I think you're heading in the right direction with the potty training. But it doesn't sound as though you have enough frequency there A pup of this age should NEED to empty his bladder every hour or two, and his bowels 4-6 times a day. It sounds as though you're trying to get by on just 3-4 potty stops. He should need about 10

Take him outside between meals LOL - it sounds so simple; and sometimes it is when you put it down in print. If the puppy is eliminating at regular times like that, then those are the times you MUST take him outside if you're to avoid him eliminating inside. At this age, you cannot expect him to hang on. He's going to go when he needs to go. Your job is to make sure that he's in the right place (outside) at the times he needs to go.

he is 3 months old, we had his stool checked by a vet and she said everything was fine. I think im going to change his food from nutro to blue buffalo in about a month. I take him outside in the morning and thats about the only time hell go outside. after that he just urinates sometimes outside but never poops. yah ill definetly try taking him outside alot more often wen the weather starts getting warmer. Nutro chicken rice oatmeal just doesnt seem to fit this pup. Hes constantly tired, sleeps alot, drinks alot of water and eliminates alot. Thanks for the replies though

We all know the feeling....I'm sure when we first bought Kona home all I seemed to be doing for the first few months was taking her outside to potty or cleaning up a potty mess inside!! Think you've got a couple of months to go, generally by 6mths they're pretty good and I think it gets easier around the 4mth mark too.

Our boxer (Mylo) is now 14 weeks old (3.5 months) and since day 1 when we brought him home at 8 weeks, we have been training him with a bell. We have a bell hanging beside the door and from when we brought him home every time we would take him out we would make him hit his bell with his paw, after I would say about 2 weeks of that he started hitting it himself every time he had to go out. Now at 14 weeks I would say he is at about 95%. He has the occasional accident but those are few and far between.
Our routine with Mylo is I wake him and take him out before I go to work (6:30am) he then goes back to sleep, my husband takes him out before he goes to work (8:00am) and then he goes in his crate. My husband comes home @ lunch (noon) feeds him, takes him for a walk, goes potty and then back in his crate till I get home @ (4:30pm). He then goes potty, has dinner and play time. Between 4:30 - bedtime, he will ring his bell when he has to go out.
We even take his bell when we go visiting. We hang it by the door show him where it is and he's pretty good with it.
Bell training was the only way we could come up with for him to communicate with us that he needs to go potty.
