Super Boxer
Our little sweetpea Cooper was free and he is an absolute angel angelicon! He was about 1 1/2 when we got him and he is wonderful wonderful wonderful and the love lovicon of our lives. He had 2 owners before us...I can't imagine giving away such a prince! The reasons he was given up were "due to a divorce" and "didn't get along with my cat". We had a cat (though he disappeared about a year after we got Cooper) and at first Cooper wanted to chase (but never hurt) the kitty...but the kitty was wise to dogs (had been around them all 15 of his years) and just didn't run. They soon became friends and it didn't take too much effort from me at all. Cooper is also our "first" boxer, but I can assure you we are now Boxer ONLY people and I can't imagine my life without a boxer in it.

Boxers are wonderful and I wish you luck!!! Keep us posted.

Sad day...

Well, it turns out this girl won't be coming home with us. The owner was able to find a place where dogs are allowed and has decided to keep the boxer. Though it's unfortunate for me, I'm happy that they are able to keep thier family pet. I didn't realize she was so connected to her till I saw her concealed excitement (poorly concealed, but i dont blame her). Lots of luck to her....my search continues!

Sorry to her you missed out, but if it was fortunate enough that a shelter didn't have one today, it probably won't be long. Just try and be patient, you won't regret it, as they are the best pet ever. Actually my dogs haven't been referred to as pets for a very long time, its official they are our kids. I also can not see myself without a Boxer in the household either. Danes are cool too, I got some first hand experience with one a while back when I baby sat for about 2 months while a neighbor was in the hospital. Danes are just so BBIIGG. Boxers are about as big a dog as you would want to have inside with you on a regular basis, and they have so much personality you will want your boxer around you.
