Completely Boxer Crazy
Dh took the boys for a walk on the dyke after work today. There is quite a steep grass hill down the one side of the dyke, probably 20ft. We have been walking our boys on this dyke for 8yrs. For those who don't know Vex has DM. Vex got too close to the edge and lost his balance and rolled down the hill and fell into the ditch. Dh ran after him, jumped in and tried to push him out (up hill). Meanwhile a kind sole was walking by and offered Dh a hand. Dh passed Vex to this man and he carried Vex a little way up the hill and before dh could tell this guy not to put down the dog on the hill, Vex fell down the hill again and into the ditch again. Dh jumped in again and crawled out with our dirty, stinky and very sad furbaby. Other than the stentch of the ditch water Dh is fine but poor Vex is devistated. He has been having such a hard time lately and today just did him in. Vex is physically O.K. from the fall but his spirit is broken. He hates not having full control of his hind end. Oh, I wish I could help him (the meds. are not working). We could use lotsa spirit healing vibes for my old guy.
