Boxer Pal
Well I am having kind of a weird problem. My boxer puppy has decided that he doesn't want to poop outside, also he does not want to poop inside(which is a good thing). He has had no #2s inside and only a couple of #1s inside. I know he has to go because I fed him over an hour ago. I took him out about 25 min after he ate and then we spent 30 min outside, he peed about 3 times but no numero dos. Can puppies get constipated? Does anyone have any advise on how to coax him into going? I am at a loss. He has done this before, so i brought him in and let him hang out for a little while then we went back out and he went. Also when we go out he has figured out that there is a front door and a back door, so he tries to get in the back and if that doesn't work he goes to the front door, he just runs back and forth. Sorry I am all over the place, but I know he has to go and I am sick of spending 30 min outside with him. Any advice would be appreciated.

Ooo, I had this with my first boxer. Not this one, though, thank goodness!

For one, don't spend 30 minutes. Take him out, let him go, and bring him back in and put him in his crate. In ten minutes, take him back out. If he doesn't go, do it again. WHEN he poops, lots of praise, treats and then let him out to play. He'll start to associate the two over time.

Sometimes they are just on a different rhythm than we are. Unless he's sick (if you are truly getting worried and it's going on for more than a day or two, a vet visit may be in order), it's probably just him getting used to your rhythm...or vice versa!
