What is going on?! Is it strange that my 7 mth old boxer is pooping in his crate every other morning?
I thought that Dugan had the whole potty training thing down because he had had no accidents in his crate for quite some time (and never any accidents in the house) -- but for the last two weeks he has been pooping in his crate every morning! Dugan goes to daycare on Tuesdays and Thursdays..and I crate him on Mon. Wed. and Friday (and come home at lunch to let him out to do his business). This is what I come home to -- Dugan covered in poop and my carpet covered in even more poop! He can hold it in the afternoon and evenings with no problem (hes been crated for 8 hrs before during these times and has had no problem). Why only the morning time and why all of a sudden?? I am so afraid that this is becoming a habit .. and if it is a habit then what am I supposed to do?? I am at my wits end! His crate is not too big. He always goes both #1 and #2 before going in the crate in the morning. He eats at 5:00 am and 5:30 pm. I am going to try to put his food dish in there with him and see if that helps.
Does anybody have any ideas as to why he is doing this?? Any suggestions would be appreciated too!
