My baby is almost 8 weeks old now. I have a big crate that has a divider in it. Gizmo is getting better and not whining when it's time to go to bed, but now he is pooping in it and peeing in it. Is there anything that I can do to help me?????? I don't like the kitchen smeeling like poo, first thing in the morning.

How often are you taking him out to the bathroom during the night??

That was my first question, too - how often is he taken out at night?
Also, I'm surprised that you already have a puppy at 8 weeks, it is not recommended for them to leave littler/mom before that age (they actually learn not to potty in their living area during those last weeks with mom). My 8 week old asked to go potty twice a night the first two weeks, every 4 hours or so, I also put up her water and food an hour before bedtime. Now, at 11 weeks, she drinks as much as she wants (she's also eating a lot more, and dry kibble makes you thirsty), but she sleeps through the night and goes out at 6am.

who wakes between 2 - 2:30AM and 5 - 5:30AM each night to potty. He cries, barks, and yelps to get our attention.
I also have him in a small crate, and he hasn't pooped or peed in there at all.
I would make sure that your crate isn't too big, you pick up the water by 8PM, and perhaps put a baby monitor in the same room as your pup to make sure you aren't missing the signs that he needs to go out (moving around in the crate, whining, etc.).

I found out why it's because he's sick. You can read my post about it in the ring. I take him out at least twice a night. If any one whats to know why I have him. I have had him since he was 5 weeks old. You can do a search if you like to find the post. Thanks for the help though.
