We crate Fletcher just because he likes to jump up on our oak windowsills everytime someone drives or walks by. So when we leave the house we put him in his crate. Secretly I think he likes the quiet time!!!!

Chancey started out crated but proved she could be trusted as she matured. The house is her castle during the day but we share in the evening and weekends ;)

Kirby is in his crate at night, and when we are not home. Unfortunatly this rule is going to stick until he is atleast 2!!

I crate train Lily. I was worried at first that she would not like it, but in the morning when she sees me filling up her kong she runs right into her crate wagging her tail. I know she is safe and won't get into trouble or hurt herself.

Mine are crated. Weve attempted to leave them out a few times but they tore up DH's cell phone (our fault for leaving it on the sofa) ate the plastic cover to the door stop and then removed the doorstop from the wall. I think they need a little more growing up and then we will see about letting them roam.

Spike is crated if we leave the house and at night. I am thinking of letting him start sleeping out of his crate, as DH starts to work second shift next week. We close the bedroom door anyway so he couldn't wonder around. Usually he is worn out by the 4 year old skin terror chasing him, and playing catch and neighborhood walks. I know that a tuckered out pup is a sleepy pup! :)

I can trust my maltese she is now 2,,,,but I can not trust dozer yet,,,he chews on anything and he will try to eat anything So its safer to crate him and he dont mind it,,,,as long as the maltese is right there...

Brandi was being crated, then Mia came along. Mia went into the crate and Brandi was given roam of the house (at night) UNTIL 2 days later when she rearranged the kitchen trash can and all that was in it! Well, back to the crate for her too! I'll try again at 1 yr or so....

Zeus has been a very good dog. Once he got past the puppy stage, I could leave him out and he would be fine, nothing torn up that I didn't care about, nothing capsized, broken or chewed.

The most he does is throw our tennis shoes in the middle of the living room floor to show his mood when we go to eat dinner and don't include him in our plans.

He goes so far as to pull the shoe laces on my BF's shoes. (mine don't have shoelaces!)
