I don't crate but we have always had one available with no door on it for a quiet space. Dozer uses it once in a while for naps. ;)

FletchersMom

Boxer Insane
I probably should have clarified that we don't crate Fletcher at night, he sleeps on my son's bed with him. I have left him alone in the house a couple times for like 20 mins or so and he was fine, I just don't know about 6 hours a day when I'm at work. He'd probably be fine, but he does so love those bay windows and his paws scratch them all up!!! I guess as long as he's happy, in the crate I'm happy too.

Drake13

Boxer Buddy
Drake is definetly crated! The lil' monster can be pretty destructive, in fact we have left the video camera on while we were out and caught him in the act! So for now, he is crated at night and when we go out. But, as others have said.. I think he secretly loves his crate and quiet time!

Coco's Momma

Boxer Booster
Four 1/2 month old Coco gets crated when we are out, otherwise my house would be DESTROYED and Coco would probably need an emergency vet visit for something she decided to eat! :D

Chaos's Mom

Boxer Booster
Nope, Chaos hasn't been crated since he was 4 months old. He is 2 years old now and has been such a good boy. :)

zoe-bear

Boxer Booster
We used the crate for potty training, and once they were trustworthy (no accidents or chewing/destroying) the crate was put away...Gus was only a few days since we adopted him when he as 4ish...just long enough to know he was housebroke. Zoe was totally free of the crate by about 4 1/2 months, but Porter took quite a bit longer, he couldn't be trusted until he was about 10months. Now they're all free roamers, thank goodness!

Super Boxer
We've never crated.. Matilda was a 18mos when she came to live with us, and only pottied in the house the first day - thats when she got overly excited we even let her in the house (she was totally outdoors with the previous "owner") Since then, she's never had an accident nor has ever been destructive. DH and I work different schedules, so for the most part she's alone in the house for MAYBE three hours at the most, in which she has free reign. I make sure and regularly rotate her toys though, just in case.
