Hi everyone. I first signed up for this board two years ago, and this is my first time back for awhile. Reading about everyone's dogs has given me some comfort. Please pray for my dog, Chewy, my 7 year old male boxer. This past weekend his playfulness disappeared and was replaced with vomitting, no appetite, and sadness. When I saw him the way he was, I took him into the vet 1st thing Monday morning. The vet told me that he had pancreatitis, and that his kidneys were bad. I don't know how long he will be in the hospital, or if he can overcome this, but I'm trying to stay positive. I can't imagine not coming home or waking up without my beloved Chewy. He's on an IV, and today the vet said he still has a long way to go, but is optimistic, but let me know that it still can take a wrong turn, and that dogs have died from this before. I'm not sure how I'm going to pay his vet bill, but I don't really care at this point about that. I'm just so sad about this situation, and feel really heartbroken. I don't know what I will do if I lose him.
