Thank you so much for all of the prayers and healing vibes. Abby and I appreciate them very much. We wanted to give you a little update. When we took her to OSU today, the doctor noticed that the movement in her knee has changed and it seems as if she now has an ACL tear. So now her surgery has been moved back a week to do a few more tests. I am glad to have her home for another week but I sure can not wait to have her healthy again. We will keep you posted.

Has your vet checked for lyme disease or leptospirosis? Both of these, one bourne by deer ticks, the other by drinking stagnant water, can create lame-ness, stiffness, sore-ness, paralysis, etc. Our boxer baby, Amiga, was diagnosed with both of these diseases two years ago. Antibiotics helped to clear, although we get her tested regularly and sometimes have to put her back on antibiotics and anti-inflammatory pills. She does get lame every now and then in just one leg. It's worth a check and some tests with your vet.

Rocky, Abby thanks you for the kisses and wiggles.

amigabean, when all of this started in June,I posted here on boxerworld for some advice and someone did mention Lyme disease. We did have her check and just as the doctor agreed this is not Lyme disease. Thank you for the thought though. She has been to a few different doctors and countless exams and the doctor at OSU is almost positive that this is a torn ACL because of the limping, pain on extension etc. We will keep everyone updated.
