Oscar is undergoing surgery right now. I'm an emotional wreck right now so I hope things make sense.

The vet thinks Oscar may have an obstruction, gastric/intestinal. Fortunately/Unfortunately nothing has shown up on x-rays. On a good note, his blood panels were all within normal limits so we've ruled pancreatitis, etc.

I know we have a lot on my minds and heavy hearts with the recent events here in the U.S., but I would appreciate it if you would include us also in your prayers today.

Oscar will most certainly be included in our prayers. It sounds like good news that his blood work was normal. The vet will fix him right up and he will be good as new! ((((((((HUGS)))))))))

Poor Oscar :( What did the crazy kid get into? Boxers, always putting something in their mouths! We have paws crossed here that Oscar has a speedy recovery. Please let us know as soon as you here something! (((HUGS)))

Thanks for all of your replies. I just got off the phone with the vet. She scoped him first which produced nothing and they are now proceeding to opening him up. I'm a wreck and am having terrible guilt that I let this happen. God knows what he ate, I'm constantly taking everything away from him from acorns to Legos. I even keep the kids toys in Rubbermaid containers with snap lids and he's figured those out. I've tried to be so careful. The vet tried consoling me with, as she put it, "it's pretty much impossible to keep everything out of their mouths---especially Boxers." I'm still beside myself. I just hope and pray they find the problem and are able to resolve it.

Don't feel guilty Kim. You have no idea how much garbage I have found in my backyard that has made it's way through Lexi's system. I've just been lucky with her (except the time she ate the lightbulb and the vase  ) as it somehow makes it way through and out the other end. It doesn't matter how much you try and keep away from them, there will always be something they can find. Boxers, too smart for their own good! (((HUGS))) and let us know when he comes out of surgery. When he gets home, give him a big ole sloppy kiss on those very smoochable lips of his :)
