Well, not a lot has happened lately, Tom is going for his radiation (on his brain) he is having a hip replacement one day next week-on the ball of his hip that has been eaten away by the cancer. He is not feeling too hot because of the pancreatic cancer, it makes his stomach upset all the time. They still don't know where it originated they are thinking maybe the lung but it is in most of his major organs so, it is hard to know for sure. He went to Karmanos Cancer Institute last week and they put him on some trial drug that has no name just lots of numbers, and nobody will even know if he is on the drug or not, some go on the drug some go on the placebo, to see if the drug works. He is also in a special case study at University of Michigan because his cancer is so advanced. So, I am wondering why they are doing the hip replacement now, but Karmanos was the second opinion they wanted and they said it should be done now. So, I just heard about the hip replacement today, not much has happened otherwise.

We did hear good news about my sisters friend Marie, she had her breasts removed last year, because she had 3 different kinds of cancer in one breast. She was really sick last year and found out it was spead through her bones and wrapped around her spine. Well, one tumor (the one that was wrapped around her spine) is completely gone and the other has shrunk considerably. SO, I hope that all the radiation etc.. on Tom will work like it did on Marie (she had chemo & radiation). She surprised the doctors, as well as her family.
