Hi everyone! I have been reading and reading posts that have to do with crate training, and they are on how to get them in and/or like it. My question is.......how big is it supposed to be? I bought a medium....and I'm concerned that it's too small. The only time that she's in there for any length of time, is at bedtime. Please help, with the 'large wire' crate we had (we borrowed it, and now they are getting a great dane and need it back) we had to keep a tote in there to cut the size in 1/2 or she would go potty in it.

Thank you

I have a 2 year old boxer who is 60 lbs. She has a large crate. There is plenty of room for her to turn around and lay down with her paws out. Make sure there is enough room for a soft bed and some toys!!! Also, a collapsible crate is the best. I can take her anywhere now!!!

thank you.....with the change in the crate, I think I'll take this medium one back and get the large.

I just know how she acted when we took the tote out of the really big crate!!!! don't want to go thru that mess again!
BTW.......she's 50lbs.

A large crate should be fine for a 50 lb baby girl. With any luck she won't get as big as Bella. She's 1/2 my size!!!Bella actually loves her crate. A couple of months ago I starting giving her greenies right when she got in the crate. It gave her something to do along with putting a bone in there, she was very content. Keep it a positive place for her. And when it feels like home, she won't have anymore accidents!!

thank you and good morning! My other baby....Jack Daniels.....is 7 years old and he sneaks into the crate on occasion. We crated him when we 1st rescued him only because we didn't know that he was the best dog in the world!
