You are a wonderful, strong person to be this poor dogs only voice. You know inside she is wounded by this treatment. Please if you know where she was adopted from call them, or call the local humane society authorities. I'm sorry you have family members that are foolish and don't appreciate the joy a canine friend can bring to a family.
Speak up now before it's too late. We have a rescue here in Ohio and other states that will rescue dogs that are chained up or left outside alone.
As matter of fact there are some states, such as Texas, that have laws against leaving dogs tethered outside alone between the hours of 10pm and 6am for longer than 3 hours when the temp is below 32. Google tether laws in your state, there is something you can do.
