I just wanted some advice. I work from 9-5 daily and let my duke out around 1230 each day to do his business and eat. Naturally I would expect him to have some built up energy from being stuck in the crate most of the day, but Duke constantly plays from 5-10pm! Now the fun part, he also constantly bites which I know is from being a puppy, but what activities and toys have you all gotten to help tire the little puppies out, and also to relieve my arms and fingers from being bitten?

One other thing, I let him sleep in my bed at night. I take him out right before we go to bed at 1030pm and also at 430am. He comes back inside wide awake, which is when I try to calm him down to sleep. Any advice on calming him down?

Thanks ahead of time!

First, you may want to try crating him at night as well. Dogs love there crates and concider them there own place of rest. As far as calming them down, good luck. The only thing I can think of is that he is not getting enough excersize. Boxers need to run a lot. You may want to see if there is a dog park in your area. My 4month and 9 month old love it. I work from 6-4 everyday and when i get home i take them to the dog park. They burn off about 80 percent of the pent up energy and they recieve the proper socializtion with other dogs. this is also very important. Proper socializaion at a young age will make you puppy much happier and more familiar with outside objects. For example my little guy never really saw a big card board box before. and the first time she saw one was when i mistakingly almost dropped it on her head. Now she is affraid of every box. Same goes for other dogs and people. well sorry for rambling later-

I would strongly advise against taking such a young baby for a walk; in general. At nine weeks his vaccination program is nowhere near completion, and there are nasty viruses just lurking in the grass... A virus at such young age can kill a puppy :(

Also, it is bad for the baby's joints to walk for long times. Little guys should only play in clean environments; sheltered - and able to rest at any time :)

Take him in your back yard & play ball - or play that in the house if it's cold out. Toss some toys and watch how happy the baby will be to get to it - and maybe even bring it back :).
