Boxer Pal
so we took our 4 month old boxer to a dog parc for the first time!

he came from a house with 10 boxers(mom, dad, and other showdogs, and the ones they retired from breeding)so im sure there was some rough playiung going on there..

at the parc there were 2 dogs(poodle, lab) and it got pretty rough with the lab.friendly play but lots of jumping and falling and ramming and craziness lol.

so were just wondering when to know if theyre playing too rough for a 4month old pup still developing?

is it ok for once every so often?or should it be not so rough but more often?

just wondering whats best for socialising him and keeping him safe ;)

I would say as long as the pup seems to be enjoying it and is not whining or doing anything else that might indicate he is gettin hurt from the play then let them have at it as much as you see fit.

Boxers love rough play and generally speaking they'll be the initiators of the fun. Unless it is obvious that someone is being bullied and not enjoying it let it go as it is an important part of socialization and develops muscle strength as well.
