Hey guys I hate to do this...especially since I started this forum....But I'm not going to be able to bring Cooper down to SLC. He has pancreantitis and that's kept him pretty much in pain this week and on top of that it's making him irritable and he's been snapping at our other dogs. We did have a neighbor dog over on Sunday and he played just fine with him and it's always been a snap at our dogs over food (never other dogs and never actually hurt our dogs) but I just don't want to chance it. Don't get me wrong he's not this horribly agressive dog actually he's the sweetest thing ever but I'm going to go on the side of precaution. Sorry guys! When he gets over this bout of pancreantitis we'll have to reschedule.

No problem at all I just hope he gets to feeling better! A friend of the family is actually in the hospitali in serious condition so I was going to have to postpone anyway for a week or two but let us know how he's doing. Hopefully it will pass qiuckly and he can be back to his usual self. We can reschedule when he's feeling better, no problem. Keep us updated on his progress!

Hey thanks for being so understanding Vela! He's responding really well to the medication and hasn't been snappy in almost 4 days. We've had this problem since we got him at 12 weeks it was off and on. Well, we contacted a behaviorist and she did a bunch of agression tests on him and said he's not an agressive dog, she suspected pain. Anyways, I talked to the behaviorist about playdates she said she thinks he'll be fine in a few weeks to come ( as long as we have no fights) since he's never acted out against another dog or any place other than IN our house. People don't bring treats or toys do they? I don't think they would be a problem for Cooper but you never know how dogs will react with other dogs. Anyways the behaviorist is near SLC and may come to the playdate too, when she gives me the ok on it, just to be safe :)

A lot of people do bring things to throw for their dogs but with the behaviorist there she can help head anything off and it would do him some good to get sociaized anyway. With here there she may be able to get some good insight into his behavior around other dogs. Looks like crappy weather anyway at the moment...lots of rain so I think the park will probably be closed anyway unless it dries up fast.

Hey there Vela!

I met you at the vet today, so I came in to look you up. This play date sounds like fun, Kota would have a great time. I will keep checking in as to when you do it and try to join you. Your dogs are beautiful, by the way. Later.

Hey there, good to see you again. Would love for you and Kota to join us at the park, sounds like fun. We will have to wait for the weather to clear up but hopefully within a couple of weeks. Your Kota is a gorgeous girl too, and what a sweetheart!
