Every night before bed time, we like to play with whiskey to get him tired up and so he can sleep throught the night. We bought him a whole bunch of toys and me and my gf play with him. However, we like to tease him a little so he can run and jump. But will this get him aggresive? Sometimes he growls at them... I'm interested because i don't want to be doing something that we aren't suppose to, thanks in advance!

No, that won't cause aggression. :) It's pretty common for dogs to bark and growl while playing, and puppies especially seem to be more vocal while playing. What you're doing is EXACTLY what I did with Juno when she was a puppy, in order to tire her out lol.

Its funny you say that because my wife is constantly asking me.." is that an aggressive growl"?? Is she being mean?? Will she be a bad dog...is she gonna bite me....why is she being so aggressive.??

Its all puppy behavior 100%. They growl and bark and jump and flip around like nut balls. They get into that prey stalk stance an hunt the toys, they growl when you push them around, they even nibble on your arm and hands. Its all natural puppy stuff....good times. Just make sure if you get em all wound up and excited you work on the Stop or Sit command. Be able to control the play on your terms and calm them down when you want to. I play with Tiara, get her going good for a minute, than I'll stop and say sit!! Make her stop and wait to play when I'm ready. I do that all the time and she is getting pretty good at it unless a stranger is here playing with her. That's still a work in progress.

That's what i been trying to do. I've gotten in my head that is't all puppy play but how can i get him to stop when it's been to much. Or how to let him know it's not play time yet. I kinda manage him a lil but it's very hard for my gf. Last week he was so hiper that he tore her pj's off. He jumped, got a good bite, and pulled pretty hard. They ripped right up. She pretty much gets bullied by him...lol. I know it's bad but what can we do to practice to stop this. We've done the ignore, walk away, but he keeps on going and going. Please help! Thanks!

You just have to persever, your GF needs to stand up and still and not look or speak to him - he will soon get the message. We also say Enough, when we have finished play, again it won't take him long to understand, consistency is the key
