Plastic vs Wire Crate

My baby girl has been trying to push through her wire crate and has bent the bars on it. While doing this she has rubbed her chin raw. I was wondering if anyone has used a hard plastic crate and what their experiences have been with it. Thanks

We have a plastic crate... Austin hated it at first, but this is the only crate he has ever had so I don't really have anything to compare it to. He doesn't mind it now, no more whining or anything. He did, however, scratch up the inside edges of the crate, not really any damage just some scratches, probably ended up filing his nails a little bit . We went ahead and bought the biggest one we could find and just put a big rubbermaid box in the back to section it off. I have heard good things about both kinds of crates, we just got the plastic one because we got a good deal on one and felt like he would feel very safe and secure in there, plus we felt he would be safer traveling in it. I use a plastic crate - I personally prefer plastic. I have the biggest Vari-Kennel one...

She's never injured herself on it - nor damaged it... Mind you, our monkey is not a chewer
