Anytime my hubby finishes drinking a plastic bottle soda Pharaoh starts looking at him. Willard then tightens the bottle cap as hard as he can and throws it at Pharaoh. Pharaoh pounces on it, takes the bottle by the cap in his mouth, lies down and commences to chew. After about 2 minutes, he's worked the cap off, where he spits it out and then simply waits for me to come collect teh used bottle and cap and toss them in the garbage.

silly boy.

Toby loves the water bottles, and not only does she get the cap off, but also the ring too! She just spits them out and goes back to tearing the bottle to shreds and tossing it in the air!

I let ours play with plastic bottles, but I always watch them. Jed chews the cap off pretty much staright away, so then I take it from him and throw it out. Hannah has not chewed a cap off yet.

We also have a plastic bottle hanging from a tree, the puppies LOVE to tug on it and it gives them hours of entertainment.

Hannah now goes straight for the knot and gets the bottle down then runs around the yard, flicking it all about, most proud of her self and teasing Jed with it

Plastic bottles a no-no

we used to give Koby, my 2 yr old Dalmatian the empty Arrowhead water bottles (without the cap), to chew on when she was a puppy. She absolutely loved them, it was her favorite toy. Then one day, she chewed a piece off the top and I caught her just in time as she was choking on the piece. So, after that, no more water bottles. Now, she'll plant herself right in front of you if you're drinking out of a water bottle, just waiting to get it. Best thing we ever started her on was ice cubes. It helped her so much during teething, and now, it's her favorite treat (not to mention how cheap they are). ;)

We have always let our boxers have plastic soft drink bottles to play with, but what a din they create when chased up and down a concrete drive!!!!!

Smarter than the average bear, Zack once got a full bottle of coke from my car and proceeded to "open" it via the side.
Boy did he get a BIG surprise when his toy "blew" up in his face!!!!

I think he saw Turner and Hooch!

Boxers are sooooooooo good at getting the caps (and little rings) off bottles! I take them off before allowing play, but they are so entertaining when the bottles go flying! I like to put little treats inside--now that's entertainment!
