Any toy that I know Rocks can tear apart he does not get unless I am watching him. He too can get the cap off, however he knows he can't have it (or the little ring under the cap) so he spits it over in my direction so I can throw it away :p

This is a very good point to bring up though :)

When Jack was little with little boy teeth...his favorite toy was a plastic bottle....loved 'em, but just like all the rest..once he got his "big boy" teeth, the first thing he'd do was chew the cap off, so I am afraid to give them to him now, because even with the cap off he still chews pieces of plastic off the bottle....so no more bottles for Jack.

Andie: It;s funny that you mentioned about Rocky toting the ball on your walks...this evening we were walking and Jack found a pine cone...he toted it until we found a second one...then he spit the first one out and toted the second one...he repeated this every single time he found a "new and better" pine cone! Too cute!

I have had the same sort of experience as all of you here. Once Atlas got is big teeth we had to take the lids of before he plays with them.

Ozzy and Rocky before him also love their pop bottles. I always take the cap and label off too. Ozzy is now demolishing his bottles so fast that I have to check that he hasn't started to chew pieces out and swallow those now. Hes done it once and I took it away immediately!

Wow, I really wasn't expecting this much response on this thread. I was just hoping to maybe spread the word. Thanks for replying everyone!!
To those of you who think that you're tightening it so tight that there's no way for your boxer to get the cap off, don't underestimate them. Riley has had numorous bottles with the cap tightened very tightly, but yes today he managed to get it off in a matter of minutes I might add. Please, just be very cautious and watch your babies!! I know that after today's experience I'll be watching Riley with a closer eye!!

Wow, I had no idea plastic bottles were such common toys.

We live in the Middle East so we only drink bottled water. Right from the day we brought Buddy home he has played with the bottles and has been able to get the cap off I might add. I think it took him about 3 minutes to get the tightened cap off and thats with baby teeth. "Look Mom aren't I smart!" :D

From that day on we have always taken the cap off before letting him play witht he bottles but he doesn't enjoy them nearly as much. I think the fun part was trying to get the cap off.:p

I think the Kids leave the lid off and sitting on the bathroom counter, and they countersurf. UGH!

My Tyson has done that since he was a baby. I just take the cap off. I saw some people wrote that they take off the label too. He's never had a problem with the label. He just chews on the bottle and throws it around. Aren't they just the cutest!:)
