Photos of London Eye

I liked Edinburgh very much and seeing buildings made in stone and not in bricks like most houses in London is very nice. Edinburgh is much more relaxing too (no crowd!). I will be back in Scotland during the summer, for taking pictures of Nessy in the Loch Ness
Unfortunately the weather wasn't very cooperative but at least it didn't rain badly
Here are some photos taken with the coolpix 5000 and its wide angle. The quality isn't good as they are compressed but it's ok for getting an overview.

Nice pictures! good luck in taking a picture of Nessy, had my camera ready but she never came up I just loved the town of Drumnadrochit, I'd love to live there. Can't wait to see more!

Thank you for those wonderful photos Olly; I loved the London Eye, you can see for miles, the trouble is, the ride doesn't last long enough! Did you take a trip up the river for the night-time shots? Are the public allowed to go into the 'Headlight', did you go? (City Hall). We used to watch on a web-cam when it was being built.
Where was the first Edinburgh photo taken from? Was it near Scott's Monument? I hope you have better luck than we did when you go looking for Nessie, the weather was very dull. We did like the Orkney Islands, they are very bleak but there are some beautiful pre-historic sites, and the small chapel built by the Italian POW's is fantastic.
I look forward to seeing more photos Olly, they bring back some lovely memories.

You have to drink Scottish whiskey first, it helps to see Nessy

I haven't visited the City Hall yet, but I believe we are allowed to go into it. I haven't taken a trip up the river yet but I do plan to do the ducktours soon

Wow - you are an amazing photographer - those pictures are absolutely beautiful!
I lived in London for 6 months, unfortunately the eye was being built as I was there and I never got to see the finished product. I never saw the inside of one of the cars until now. Great shots!

I am totally enthralled with the London Eye. I never knew that such a thing exsisted until I saw a movie recently (Chasing Liberty I think) and then I became obessed with it. Thank you so much Olly for such great pictures. I just sit here staring at them thinking how awesome this structure is. I sure wish my husband wasn't a chicken when it came to flying.....this is something I would really love to see in person but I just "pretend" and slip into my own little fantasy with Olly's pictures. My husband doesn't think it's healthy and laughs at me....oh well. Thanks again Olly!
