Do you get to make an appointment? Do they let you take your time and take several poses? Do you have to bring your own props? This sounds sooo great considering that I paid over $200 at a photo studio and they weren't great with dogs.

I'm not sure about the appointment thing because we just happen to be in Petsmart that evening and saw that they were taking pics so we went home & got Keno...we didn't need an appt and I'm not sure if they even take appts....
The guy taking Keno's pic was sooo good with him and he took several different poses of him (4 --I believe)...he wasn't rushed at all and he was very patient with Keno the whole time...It says that you can bring a favorite toy or stuffed animal for the pics, but they provide the props...they didn't do this for Keno, but while we were waiting we looked in a book of pics they had taken and saw a boxer in a metal tub like he was taking a bath...it was so cute! If you look at their website you can get an idea of the diff props they have..that way you can request a certain prop even!
And as far as the price...the advertised special that they had was 1-5x7 and 4 wallets for $3.99 (usually $5.99)....we ended up buying two 5x7's with 4 wallets each with them (two diff poses)..and I think we spent around $25...not bad at all !

I asked about that when I called, and they said that for the Petco locations you do have to make an appointment. You do it through the store though, not the picture company. I think for the PetSmart sessions you don't need one though.

We took the boys in tonight to have their pictures done.

Quinsi got up on the table with no problems. But he wanted to keep jumping down. And when he would finally settle down long enough to get the picture, she would squeak a squeaker to get his attention and he LUNGED for it! Guess I should've warned her that he was a squeaky fanatic!

We finally got a couple of pics of him done. Then it was Gunner's turn. He didn't want to be on the table, he was very nervous about the whole thing. I finally walked up behind the lady taking the pics and he perked up and just stared at me. She got 2 pics that way. She thought SHE got him to sit good. She said "Wow I didn't even have to use the squeaker for him! He was so good!" I said I was standing behind you that's why

Then we wanted a christmasy picture with us and them. She got 1 picture, then wanted to do another one. The second one was taken as Quinsi was lunging for the squeaky again and I was trying to catch him.. I would LOVE to see picture! But she said they likely will not even print that one up! DARN! LOL She ended up taking another one. I will probably hate them.. I hate all pictures with me in them.. they just never look right. So I guess if the ones with us and them don't turn out.. I'll get my Christmas tree out and place the boys in front of it and that'll be my Christmas pictures

I'm going to see how much Wal-mart charges for pics since they aren't coming to my area. I'm thinking Wal-mart will be pretty cheap! Not sure how good they'll be at taking pictures of dogs though..

I didn't think that Walmart would do animal pics. I have never called them though because I just assumed. But if someone finds one that does it, maybe the rest will jump on the bandwagon :D

Pet Pics

For those of you in the Dayton, Ohio area. SuperPetz will be doing Pet Pics on November 26th, 27th, & 28th. The times are Friday 12-8, Saturday 10-5 & Sunday 10-5. The address is Miamisburg-Centerville Road, Miamisburg, Ohio. It is at the intersection of St. Rt. 725 and Interstate 75, ToysRUs is right next door to it. They are offering a $5.00 session fee, paid at the time of photography. You will get 1-5x7 and 4 wallets for $9.99. Hope this helps
