Super Boxer
Hi there all.

I'm currently fostering 5 cats and would like to make a website for each of them, so that they can have personal information and pictures for potential adopters to see. I've made a free site on Geocities, but It seems like the pictures and frequent visits are too much for the free site.

Does anyone have any advise on who to use to create a site that has several links (5 or so) to personal pages and room to store several pages without becomming overloaded. I don't mind paying a small monthly fee for the service; I just want the site to be up without interruption.

who are you using to connect to the internet, i know most isp's you pay for provide free web space, for instance i get something like 20mg of free web space for a website. then all you need to create 5 PAGES one for each cat with 5 folders to hold the pictures for each cat, (for organization), instead of 5 websites as i understand you want to purchase...hth

First off as mentioned before, check yoru ISP. Almost all of them that i know of give you space. Some even have templates to help you create a page.

Do you have a yahoo email? yahoo now owns geocities so you can get a free site from there aswell.

Geocities website

I use the free geocities website for the boxer rescue. I have maybe 15-17 pages listed on the site and still have more storage to use. I also have about 75 pics stored of the dogs also. You have to have your main page called index, then you can set up an adoption page (new page) and link it to each individual cats page (each page is set up by itself, just name it). I set mine up under pagebuilder, and my personal dogs are under just a photo page. I had to use the help menu alot, but if you would like to try it and have problems, email me, maybe I can help you.

I had a problem with storage space also. I wanted to have a lot of quality pictures and some mpeg movies from my camera. However my ISP only allowed 10 Megs for a website per email address.
However, I discovered they allow a user to have 7 email addresses. So I activated 3 more email addresses (I'll never use) and viola 40 megs and 30 more to spare. It took a bit to learn how to link all the websites under one index page and keep the same theme, but after a few hours I made it work.
