Boxer Pal
My 4 1/2 yr old boxer Mia is perfect when I take her to the trainer. She submits, comes when called, lays down, etc....
At home, she's good but get's in these moods and won't listen. For example if I call her to come in, she runs to the back yard and thinks it's play time all over again. She then starts barking at me, tries to get nippy and jumping. I'm not scared of her b/c I know she isn't being mean. However she looks pretty vicious. She did this at the campground recently and scared the pants off the kids nearby. Scared everyone b/c she wouldn't listen when we said stop. So to those watching it would appear that she was mean and we didn't have control. (which at the time we probably didn't)
I know all the commands and understand they need consistency, etc....However what am I doing wrong that she won't listen and gets all sassy? I don't like that she gets nippy, barking mean and jumping. It gives the appearance she's a mean dog and I don't want this to turn into something else...Any suggestions?
