People have been RUDE about my white boxer!

I still want to laugh everytime someone sees one or both of my Miniature Pinschers. Most people say ohhh, look at the mini dobermans. At first I would try to tell them no they are Miniature Pinschers or no they are not small dobermans, etc. But it never failed they'd still call them mini dobermans. I've given up, I say thanks when they compliment and move on. I think alot of different breeds have their stereotypes. It's just that not everyone reads and learns about different breeds which is why there are so many homeless dogs out there. If more people were educated about different breeds,their needs, etc there would less unwanted pets. Just try to let it roll of your back and just love your babies no matter what. JMO

I just have 2 things to say............

1st. White boxers are just as good looking as any other color I have ever seen.

2nd. Like my mom always told me "you can't change STUPID".

So next time someone says something Rude, just turn and smile and know that you baby is georgeous no matter what they say!!

Our rude comments have started lately too,
the other day while walking my little love bug (along with her best boxer friend, Rocky and his mom) a lady was walking by with her kid and was steering him away from Emma saying "Don't look at IT, its like challenging them". It really annoyed me cause I was thinking "yeah, challenging her to a licking match". Anyway, it made ME want to bite her kid. People really stink sometimes.

You could always answer their 'expert' advice with some questions:

"Oh really? Are you a breeder? Do you show your boxer?"

"Oh, you don't have a boxer? Have you ever had one?"

"No? Sorry to hear that."

Just tell them you washed his color right out of him...idiots will believe you...

Wow, these are some great replies to this thread!! Great comments, good advice...I just wanted to add that I too have gotten stupid remarks - the ones I heard were about my two being too thin so I understand how it hurts. I was trying so hard to get them to gain weight and struggling with health issues...I wanted to punch those people!

But, I also wanted to add that whites are gorgeous! I've never seen a Boxer yet that I didn't think was beautiful on the outside and more importantly, on the inside as well. We are very lucky to have them.

I just wanted to add that white boxers are just as beautiful as any other boxer. Also, my family fostered a white boxer who just happened to be deaf and we were worried that it would be really hard to find him a home so we were prepared to keep him ourselves. Well after having the puppy for less than a week we got a call from a fireman who was interested in having the puppy as a mascot for thier firehouse. So this little deaf puppy is a fire dog! And he is very healthy and happy btw.

Not unusual...just unique and wonderful

You should be so proud of your unique boxer...I have (2) white boxers and I have never been made to feel they were undersirable...I do however find that some people do mistake them for pit bulls and tend to shun my dogs...just as well, as my white babies have no need to present their pedigree upon inspection!!! Most people are so complimentary on the dogs...beautiful is the most common adjective used...I stand and beam with pride...yes, the white boxer is beautiful, unique and a blessed gift from Mother God...I suggest to you that you "consider the source" when negative comments are made about your pride and joy...and give your baby a kiss for me...
