Jasmine is a 2 year old mostly well behaved boxer. Unfortunatly she has a problem of sometimes peeing on my bed. This drives me CRAZY. She is trained to go out and usually will go right to the door. I unfortunatly usually dont find out about the little accident until its time for me to crawl into bed. I have no idea what makes her do this!! I Have actually bought a plastic thing to put over the mattress. Her latest "accident" was on my BRAND new mattress. I had it all of 5 hours. Any one else have this problem??

We went through this with Tucker too a while ago. With him, it was like he pee'd in his sleep and didn't know what he'd done until it was too late. Then he'd move out of the spot he pee'd in, which is what would wake us up. That is no fun in the middle of the night let me tell you. We just started limiting his water after 8 pm and MAKING him go potty right before bed, whether he wanted to go out or not. He hasn't had any more accidents in our bed since (knock on wood ;) ).

We also bought a waterproof mattress pad because our mattress was brand new too. We just figured it was a good investment as one day we'd like to have skinkids too and it's better to be safe than sorry.

If she's doing it in the middle of the day though, you might check with your vet to rule out a UTI.

Tess would pee on my bed if she was left inside alone, even if I had only gone out to the mailbox - very frustrating! She would also pee on other things that were specifically mine - like my shoes if they were accessible - as if she were making a statement in contempt of not being outside with me. I have two boxers now (for the past 2.5 years) and Tess hasn't peed on anything since I got Tenaia.:)

Could be a UTI too - might want the vet to check it out -

Murray started doing this recently, too! It's definitely not something you want to wake up to in the middle of the night:eek:! Since we don't have any skinkids yet, I never imagined myself changing sheets at 2 a.m. in the morning:rolleyes:! We're doing the same thing, no water after 8 p.m. and we take him out as late as we possibly can. Seems to be working.:)

If your dog does this during the day when you are not there, have you tried keeping her contained in one area? Maybe the kitchen or a crate? If she's doing it while you are there I would think that this was a dominance issue. Maybe not, just thinking. I would try a crate or keeping her in a SAFE area of the house.
Hope this helps a bit. :)
