I have a 10 month old fawn boxer named Jake, who I love dearly. I cannot get him to stop peeing in the house! It seems like he has to pee all the time and he knows to cry by the door when he has to poop, but I can't get him to do the same when he has to pee. Any ideas? I have tried so many things.

Please help!

Theone thing I leanred quickly is that there are 3 rules to potty training. The need to be taken out after naps, after being fed and after play time. Which is pretty much all the time but they pee alot more then they poop. Unless he is sleeping I say take him out every 1/2 hr. They are normally pretty quick with peeing so you don't have to stay outside too long.

Have you taken him to the vet to have him checked for a bladder infection? A 10 month old dog should not be peeing all the time. Do you use a crate?

Hi, thank you for responding to my questions, Jake and I have moved so we were really busy this past month. He loves his new home!!!!! and he has already marked his territory...lol

He is no longer crate trained, but you know what I noticed??? He will constantly drink out of the toilet if you leave the lid open. He has been doing really well, but you know, every time we have had company, he peed in the house! It took me a while to realize it was because the company would leave the lid open and I had no idea he was drinking water!

So that seems to be the problem and since then, he's been ok

thank you all so much
