Tonight I took Duke to my daughter's house. She has 2 weims and a big backyard. They played and played. We came in and I went to the bathroom and daughter thought he was with me. Went looking and when I found him he was trying to get on her bed. (She has a tall bed) I even commented to Duke that he couldn't get on that bed. Well after we got home she called and he had peed on her bed, not in 1 place but in 4 places. He has peed on our bed on 2 occasions but only in 1 place. I am a little concerned that he could be starting to mark. He is 5 1/2 months. Their weims do sleep on their bed. Luckily for me they have a waterproof pad on their pad because of their dogs. Is 5 1/2 months old enough to start marking?

Is he fixed yet? Or perhaps her other dogs have soiled there so he may have thought that was the place to go?

No, he is not neutered yet. My vet will not do it until he is at least 6 months old. Don't know about her dogs peeing on the bed as they are 3 years old and haven't done that in years; however, they could have dribbled and they not realize it.

awh, that's right I didn't catch his age - I am not sure about the marking, I don't know if the "urge" to mark would be apparent that early, my boy is 11 months old and just now realized how to lift his leg. It might be the case that he just didn't know where else to go...

My dog did the same thing at my sister's house (she has 2 dogs, a boxer and cocker spaniel-both female). He is 2 years old and fully housetrained. She was dogsitting him and brought him home, and within 5 minutes of being in her house he found her dogs' bed, lifted his leg and peed on it. We attributed it to him trying to mark his terrority for some reason. He never had accidents in the house before and it has never happened again.

Cruiser has peed on our bed twice now in the past month. He is 6 months old and un-neutered ( he goes this month).

He is potty trained... so its not a confusion thing. Perhaps once he is neutered this will stop?

I sure hope so.

My fiance's parents had that problem with their dog (although, he's a Pug). Anyway, they got him neutered and since then he doesn't mark anymore. I think he did once when their other dog Jasmine was in heat, but he's so much better. Hopefully the same behavior (post-neuter) is same with Boxers.
