Ok, I used the search engine and I didnt find what I am looking for so if this is the one millionth post with this type of question I appolagize. This is kind of a 2 part question and I am extremely worried.

Today I decided to take Kaen to the hospital because he seems to be in pain when he urinates and deficates.....I have seen him do this every once and a while but never continuously like he has for the last 2 days. I guess my question is does anyone have any idea what this could be? He is at the doctors now and I am just waiting for them to let me know what is going on and I am worried sick. About half a year ago he developed a very large tumor on his back that seemed to double in size every 2 days, it started off very small. he had surgery to have it removed and the doctors said it was benign(sp) so I was happy. I really hate having to leave Kaen at the doctors I feel like I am abandoning him, he is too young to be having cancer problems or so I was hoping. But if anyone has any idea what the problem could be I would like to know if anyone else has had similar situation.

My next question is about neutering. I did a search for this too and didnt see anything that really answered my question and I would like to know from people who have experienced it. People who have taken an unaltered male after the age of 2 to get neutered...what were the changes if any? This is very important to me. I want to have Kaen neutered but I absolutely do not want any little piece of his attitude or character to change one bit. He is not dog agressive within reason, meaning he never initiates any agressive behavior. He does not "mark" in the house or on people in fact I have never had a dog that has done this, and him marking outside is completely irrelevent to me lol. So if anyone has an experience with a neutered dog who wa snot neutered as a puppy it would help me out with my decision. Thanks in advance and if this is a repeat thread I swear I tried to find this before I posted it, you moderators frighten me a bit lol.

Problems with neutered male boxer

We had our boxer Sparky neutered at about 1.5 years of age. He is now 2yrs and 4 months. He is having problems with incontinence. He may go 3 to 4 days with out dribbling but then it happens. He has been on proin or 2.5 months the vet increased his dosage twice and wanted to do it a 3rd time and I disaggreed because that stuff increases their heart rate and I didn't want him having a heart attack. We are taking him in on Tuesday to get a testosterone shot. If that doesn't work than we know it is something else. This ususally only happens in female dogs that are fixed. They said it is rare for this to happen in male dogs. But I think that is what caused it because he feels great, eats, sleeps, has good bowel movements. We feel terrible that we had him fixed.
