I stuff the small hole with a piece of kibble and put a few pieces of kibble in the end so that peanut butter or whatever I showve in there doesn't get stuck in the end. We have eight kongs (4 day supply for 2 dogs) and the ones that get used get washed with that days dishes. If something does get stuck in the end, I have a toothbrush that I use to get it out.
Thanks all!!! I am happy to know that it is dishwasher safe. I apparantely didn't pay attention to the package. I hadn't thought of freezing it with p.butter in it. Great idea...thanks!
I'm glad that I just read this thread. I didn't know about putting peanut butter in a kong. I have just been putting a little treat inside and Penny goes crazy just trying to get it out. This gives us something else to try . Sorry~I'm a new puppy mommy. Thanks!
Creamy - or smooth, regular ol' peanut butter - I use Jiff. I don't think they can break down the peanut chunks in the crunchy. I hope Biff is feeling better!
