I know how you feel about the cage thing- we had to reinforce Koda's cage with metal screw thingy's and put a lock on it or she will push the door open

Maybe Payton was upset about the game- GO STEELERS! (kidding)- I am a huge steelers fan though.

Conner is the SAME way! We eventually had to switch Conner and Tess's crates because he could get out of his, too. Poor Tess is in a little smaller crate than her old one, but she fits just fine. Caution, though - he found his way out of that crate too!

Make sure that you ALWAYS take Payton's collar off before you crate her. She could get it stuck on something while trying to escape and strangle herself. Just something you need to always do with escape artists.

When Baxter was a "teenager", he was also able to unlock his crate. We caught him in the act once and then decided to lock him in and then turn the crate against the wall. (Door against the wall). He actually figured out that if he jumped around enough he could move it from the wall then open the door. We finally gave up! He then got the run of the basement. He ruined the carpet.....just tore it up literally. So.....when Zoe came...we didn't even try the crate. The dogs now are just put in the basement....with their T.V., 2 oversized recliners, and the concrete floor. The worst thing they can do now is get into the laundry room trash. (I hope!)....

Payton seems to be quite the little lately doesn't she? I look forward to seeing new posts about her getting into things daily (sorry for you.) She'll grow out of it one of these days, hang in there.
